The ice does its job because it gets really cold and when the temp decreases it gets hot making the rock crack
Minerals because chemical reaction might happen with the rock and the miner or miners act differently so it could be anything
Water because the water can go underneath the rock and turn to ice in the cracks of the rock causing a wedge to form
And wind because the wind can carry little pebbles in the air causing them to hit against the rock and wearing it down
