The process called dehydration synthesis.
Macromolecules are mostly made from single subunits, called monomers. The monomers combine with each covalent bond to create larger molecules.
Monomers release water molecules in this process as byproducts. This reaction is known as dehydration synthesis. Since two monomers are condensed to form one larger molecule, considered to be a condensation reaction with the loss of a smaller molecule.
Thus, The process called dehydration synthesis.
