When you die "inestate" (aka without a will) state laws will determine how your assets are divided and who they go to. Most arrangement like funeral/burial, etc are handled by family or next-of-kin and state laws will again determine certain arrangements when the deceased person's wishes were not recorded through a will.
the contractual interest rate is the interest the borrower must pay and the interest the lender receives, or more simply, it is the interest rate stated on a bond whereas the market interest rate is “the investors demand for loaning funds”. therefore, bonds can either be sold at a premium, face value, or discount.
